Ingredients

  • For shell: 300g fine bulgur, 500g lean beef mince, 1 onion grated, 1 tsp salt, 1 tsp allspice, 1/2 tsp pepper
  • For filling: 300g lamb mince, 2 onions chopped, 50g pine nuts, 1 tsp allspice, 1 tsp cinnamon, salt, 2 tbsp oil
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Soak bulgur in cold water 15 min; squeeze dry.
  2. Knead with beef, onion and spices to a paste.
  3. Brown lamb with onion, pine nuts and spices for filling.
  4. Take ping-pong sized shell mix; flatten in palm; add filling; seal into a football shape.
  5. Fry in 170C oil 4-5 min until deep golden.
