Ingredients

  • 300g pork mince
  • 300g beef mince
  • 1 onion, finely grated
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 100ml milk
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 tsp allspice
  • 1/2 tsp nutmeg
  • For gravy: 3 tbsp butter, 3 tbsp flour, 600ml beef stock, 200ml cream, 1 tbsp Worcestershire, 1 tbsp Dijon
  • Lingonberry jam (or cranberry)
  • Salt and pepper

Instructions

  1. Soak breadcrumbs in milk.
  2. Mix all meatball ingredients; shape into small balls.
  3. Brown all over in butter; lift out.
  4. Make gravy: melt butter, whisk in flour; cook 1 minute.
  5. Whisk in stock, then cream, Worcestershire, mustard.
  6. Return meatballs; simmer 10 minutes.
  7. Season.
