Lebanese Kafta

Lebanese minced lamb seasoned with onion, parsley, allspice and cinnamon, grilled on skewers or shaped into patties.

Ingredients

  • 600g lamb mince
  • 1 onion, very finely chopped
  • Big handful parsley, chopped
  • 3 garlic cloves, crushed
  • 1 tsp baharat
  • 1 tsp allspice
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp pepper
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • Skewers

Instructions

  1. Mix all ingredients; knead for 5 min (kneading is essential).
  2. Rest 30 min.
  3. Wet hands; shape onto flat skewers, or roll into long sausages.
  4. Grill over high heat 4-5 min, turning, until charred outside.
  5. Eat with tahini, pita and salad.
