Ingredients

  • 600g beef sirloin or ribeye, thinly sliced
  • For marinade: 1 pear (or apple), grated; 5 tbsp soy sauce; 3 tbsp brown sugar; 3 tbsp sesame oil; 5 garlic cloves; 1 thumb ginger; 1 tsp pepper; 2 spring onions; 1 tbsp mirin
  • 3 tbsp oil
  • Sesame seeds, spring onion, lettuce leaves to serve

Instructions

  1. Marinate beef 30 min minimum.
  2. Heat oil in a wide pan very hot.
  3. Stir-fry beef in batches 2-3 minutes — don't overcrowd.
  4. Plate; sprinkle with sesame and spring onion.
  5. Serve with lettuce leaves — diners wrap beef in lettuce.
