Ingredients

  • 200g dark chocolate, chopped
  • 150g butter
  • 3 eggs
  • 250g caster sugar
  • 100g flour
  • 40g cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 100g dark chocolate chunks

Instructions

  1. Melt chocolate and butter together; cool slightly.
  2. Whisk eggs with sugar vigorously for 4 minutes until thick and pale — this is what gives the crackly top.
  3. Whisk in chocolate mixture and vanilla.
  4. Fold in flour, cocoa and salt.
  5. Stir in chocolate chunks.
  6. Tip into a lined 20cm square tin.
  7. Bake at 180C for 25-30 min until edges are set but middle is still slightly wobbly.
  8. Cool fully before cutting.
