Vietnamese Iced Coffee

Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp Vietnamese dark roast coffee, finely ground (or strong dark roast)
  • 3 tbsp sweetened condensed milk
  • Boiling water
  • Ice cubes

Instructions

  1. Place condensed milk in a glass.
  2. Set a Vietnamese phin filter on top (or use a regular dripper).
  3. Add ground coffee; press lightly.
  4. Pour boiling water over to wet; let bloom 30 sec.
  5. Top up; let drip — takes 4-5 min for a proper drip.
  6. Once dripped, stir to combine coffee and condensed milk.
  7. Pour over a tall glass of ice.
  8. Stir again.
