Indian Mango Lassi

India's favourite mango-yoghurt drink, thick and cool — the perfect partner for a fiery curry.

Ingredients

  • 250g mango pulp (Alphonso ideally)
  • 300g thick yoghurt
  • 100ml milk
  • 3 tbsp sugar (adjust to mango sweetness)
  • Pinch cardamom
  • Pinch salt
  • Ice cubes

Instructions

  1. Blend everything except ice until smooth and very thick.
  2. Add ice; blend briefly.
  3. Pour into tall glasses.
  4. Top with a sprinkle of cardamom.

  • Plain unsweetened lassi is also classic — savoury with salt and cumin.
