Ingredients

  • 600g white fish fillets (cod, haddock)
  • 1 boiled potato, mashed
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 2 eggs
  • 3 tbsp flour
  • 100ml milk
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg
  • Salt and pepper
  • 3 tbsp butter for frying
  • Lemon and dill to serve

Instructions

  1. Blend the fish briefly to a coarse paste.
  2. Mix with mashed potato, onion, eggs, flour, milk, nutmeg, salt and pepper.
  3. Wet hands; shape into small patties.
  4. Pan-fry in butter 3-4 min a side until deep golden.
  5. Squeeze lemon over.
  6. Top with dill.
