Ingredients

  • 2 cups mixed sprouted beans (moong, moth, chickpea)
  • 2 onions, chopped
  • 3 tomatoes, blended
  • 2 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
  • 3 tbsp misal masala (or 1 tbsp coriander, 1 tbsp red chilli, 1 tsp garam masala)
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 4 tbsp oil
  • Salt
  • To serve: chopped onion, coriander, sev/farsan, lemon, soft buns

Instructions

  1. Boil the sprouted beans until just tender; drain.
  2. Fry the onions until golden, add ginger-garlic and spices.
  3. Pour in the blended tomato and cook until thick.
  4. Add the sprouts with 500ml water; simmer 15 minutes.
  5. Adjust the consistency — should be soupy.
  6. Serve in a bowl topped with chopped onion, coriander, sev, lemon, and a soft bun on the side.
