Ingredients

  • 250g halloumi or kefalotyri cheese, sliced 1cm thick
  • 3 tbsp flour
  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • Black pepper

Instructions

  1. Pat the cheese dry and dust in flour.
  2. Heat the oil in a small pan over medium-high heat.
  3. Fry the cheese for 1-2 minutes a side until golden.
  4. Squeeze with lemon and sprinkle with oregano and pepper.
  5. Serve immediately.
