Garlic Bread

Crusty bread slathered with garlic herb butter and baked until golden — the side everyone fights over.

Ingredients

  • 1 baguette or ciabatta
  • 80g butter, softened
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • Handful parsley, chopped
  • Salt
  • Optional: grated cheese

Instructions

  1. Mix the butter with the garlic, parsley and salt.
  2. Slice the bread almost through at intervals, or split lengthways.
  3. Spread the garlic butter generously into the cuts or over the surface.
  4. Wrap in foil (or leave open for crispier bread) and bake at 200C for 10-12 minutes.
  5. Add cheese in the last few minutes if using.
