Pakistani Aloo Keema

Ingredients

  • 500g beef or lamb mince
  • 3 potatoes, cubed
  • 2 onions, chopped
  • 2 tomatoes, chopped
  • 1 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1 tsp coriander powder
  • 1 tsp garam masala
  • 1 tsp chilli powder
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric
  • 4 tbsp oil
  • 2 green chillies
  • Salt
  • Coriander

Instructions

  1. Fry the onions until golden, then add ginger-garlic.
  2. Add the mince and brown.
  3. Stir in the tomatoes and ground spices; cook until thick.
  4. Add the potatoes and 1.5 cups water.
  5. Cover and simmer 20 minutes until the potatoes are tender.
  6. Finish with garam masala, chillies and coriander.
