Ingredients

  • 2 cups rice flour
  • Pinch of salt
  • Hot water to make a soft dough
  • For filling: 1 cup grated coconut, 100g jaggery (or brown sugar), 1/4 tsp cardamom

Instructions

  1. Cook the coconut, jaggery and cardamom in a pan over low heat until sticky and thick; cool.
  2. Mix the rice flour with salt and pour in hot water gradually until a soft dough forms.
  3. Take small balls of dough, flatten, fill with the coconut mix, and seal into half-moons or pouches.
  4. Steam for 15-18 minutes until firm.
  5. Serve warm.
