Shepherd's Pie

Ingredients

  • 600g lamb mince
  • 1 onion, 2 carrots, diced
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 1 cup peas
  • 2 tbsp tomato paste
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 400ml stock
  • For topping: 1kg potatoes, 50g butter, 100ml milk
  • Salt and pepper

Instructions

  1. Brown the mince with the onion, carrot and garlic.
  2. Stir in the tomato paste, Worcestershire and stock; simmer 20 minutes.
  3. Add the peas.
  4. Boil and mash the potatoes with butter and milk.
  5. Spread the mince in a dish, top with mash, and fork the surface.
  6. Bake at 200C for 25 minutes until golden.
