Ingredients

  • 1kg beef short ribs, flanken cut
  • For marinade: 1 Asian pear (or apple) grated, 1/2 cup soy sauce, 1/4 cup brown sugar, 3 tbsp sesame oil, 6 garlic cloves, 1 thumb ginger, 4 spring onions, 2 tbsp sesame seeds, 1 tbsp rice wine

Instructions

  1. Blend all the marinade ingredients.
  2. Marinate the ribs at least 4 hours, ideally overnight.
  3. Grill over high heat 2-3 minutes a side until charred and just cooked.
  4. Rest 2 minutes; cut between bones to serve.
