Ingredients

  • 600g mixed fish (cod, salmon, smoked haddock)
  • For sauce: 40g butter, 40g flour, 500ml milk, handful parsley
  • 100g peas
  • For topping: 1kg potatoes, 50g butter, 100ml milk
  • 50g grated cheese
  • Salt and pepper

Instructions

  1. Poach the fish briefly in the milk, then lift out and reserve the milk.
  2. Make a sauce with the butter, flour and the poaching milk; stir in parsley.
  3. Flake the fish into a dish, add the peas, and pour over the sauce.
  4. Top with mashed potato and cheese.
  5. Bake at 200C for 30 minutes until golden.
