Ingredients

  • 600g beef mince
  • 1 onion, 2 carrots, diced
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 2 tbsp tomato paste
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire
  • 1 tsp thyme
  • 400ml beef stock
  • 1 cup peas
  • 1kg potatoes
  • 50g butter
  • 100ml milk
  • Salt and pepper

Instructions

  1. Brown the mince with the vegetables.
  2. Stir in the tomato paste, Worcestershire, thyme and stock.
  3. Simmer 20 minutes; add the peas.
  4. Boil and mash the potatoes with butter and milk.
  5. Spread the mince in a dish, top with mash and fork the surface.
  6. Bake at 200C for 25 minutes until golden.
