Ingredients

  • 4 chicken breasts
  • 4 slices ham
  • 100g Gruyère or Emmental
  • 1 cup flour
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1.5 cups breadcrumbs
  • Oil and butter
  • Salt and pepper

Instructions

  1. Butterfly each breast and flatten with a rolling pin.
  2. Place ham and cheese on each, then roll up tightly.
  3. Secure with toothpicks if needed; coat in flour, egg, then breadcrumbs.
  4. Fry in oil and butter over medium heat for 12-15 minutes, turning, until golden and cooked.
  5. Rest before slicing.
